Several repositories of the same team follow different conventions for project structure, dependency management and lint/test commands. A stack profile defined once, with matching guardrails, is meant to be applied repeatedly to several changes instead of restating the alignment every time.

Workflow

  1. The stack profile and its guardrails are defined once.
  2. A ticket for aligning to the profile is created per repository.
  3. The plan breaks the alignment into slices per convention (structure, dependencies, lint/test commands).
  4. Each slice is checked against the guardrails before it counts as done.
  5. The result goes out as one pull request per repository, referencing the shared profile.
